Summary
Starting his career as a research specialist in the Fund Management
of Bankers Trust/Deutsche Bank Turkey (1997-2000), Barbaros
Cıtmacı Ph.D. moved to JVs of Dogus Group as Senior Executive
with the responsibility of Treasury, Finance, Strategy and Business
Development btw 2000 and 2011. Joining Fleetcorp in July 2012
as Assistant General Manager, Dr. Citmaci was appointed as Chief
Executive Officer by the Board of Directors becoming effective from
29th of February, 2016 and serves with his role until the resignation
in July 2018.
Following 8 years in vdf (JV btw VW Financial Services AG and –
Dogus Otomotiv, , consumer finance,operational lease, factoring and
insurance) and 3 years in GE Money Romania (JV btw GE Capital –
Dogus Holding, financial lease, consumer finance and mortgage) Dr.
Citmaci worked in Fleetcorp, 100% foreign capital owned operational
fleet leasing company serving 3,200+ business partners exceeding
a fleet size of 20.000 cars.
Having an international role in VW FS on Emerging Markets Desk
between 2005 and 2008 through Treasury and Capital Markets team
of Brazil, Turkey and India; Dr. Citmaci also headed the investment
committee of The International Investors, 100% partner of Fleetcorp,
over investment decisions in the selected regions and countries, CIS
and Gulf.
Dr. Citmaci is also well-known in business network both public
and private. He is member of TUSIAD. He also made a career in
academic area through lectures in top-rank universities on Emerging
Market Economies, Fund Management, Central Bank B/S, and
Investment Strategies, Strategy Setting in EM and Developed
Economies.
Holds a Ph.D. degree from Marmara University Department of
Banking.
